As part of an ongoing effort to improve Quality of Service and End to End Performance testing for the Vodafone Live! portal, Vodafone Global Platforms (VFGSP) engaged ITHR Consulting to evaluate existing solutions provided by Cap Gemini and Accenture. What started as an analysis of efficiency and ROI against business needs, soon grew into a comprehensive project to find, evaluate, and manage a vendor capable of providing a complete solution. ITHR Consulting drove and managed every key phase of the project including the supplier RFT; vendor selection; negotiation of Ts&Cs and support contract; solution gap analysis and implementation; deployment into production; and handover to the responsible Vodafone team.

Zandan (now Keynote Systems) was selected as the preferred vendor to provide a complete hardware and software platform for performing E2E monitoring and testing of mobile data services. With the help of Zandan’s technology, expertise, and training, VFGSP was able to take back the ownership of the testing activity. ITHR Consulting’s vast mobile telecom experience was crucial to the success of the project and helped them to overcome some of the main challenges, including the coordination and logistical issues of deploying into 25 countries as well as the constant interaction with the vendor to insure timelines and deliverables remained on track. ITHR expanded its participation in the program by providing consultants with governance and testing expertise across VFGSP's Country Delivery Management and End to End Performance functions, contributing to an annual ROI of €1m - €2m per year.
