General Summary:
The Oracle Applications DBA will perform various tasks related to the Oracle E-Business suite including, database administration, database applications support and maintenance.
Organisational Relationships:
Supporting Oracle Applications project team
Work with Systems Administrators and Application Development teams
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this role include:
Install Oracle E-Business suite technology stack
Apply E-Business suite and database patches
General database support
Cloning to support various project needs
Configure automated backup/recovery processes
Scripting
Database management and administration
Database and application tuning
Configuration
Disaster recovery planning
Provide DBA support from development and testing through the production implementation
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
E-Business expertise
Module implementation experience
Full lifecycle project experience
Oracle Database experience
Familiar with Unix, Linux and Microsoft Windows
Hands on experience supporting Oracle E-Business suite
ERP applications implementation and support experience
Ability to write and understand complex SQL statements
Performance tuning
Desirable Skills:

Language
Oracle Certification
Security Clearance
Industry experience
Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage stress and pressure inherent to application development, implementation and support
Good time management skills
Willing to learn/expand knowledge

Educational level:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field desirable

General:
The DB2 DBA will be responsible for maintaining the DB2 databases, installing DB2 database environments, perform software upgrades and deliver DB2 performance and tuning support to the customer.
Organisational Relationships:
Oracle application project teams for support
Work within the DBA team
Work with System Administrators and Application Development teams
Liaise with functional teams and users throughout development and test phases
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this role include:
Maintain DB2 Database
Install DB2 databases environments
Perform software upgrades
Deliver DB2 performance and tuning support to the customer
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Extensive knowledge of DB2
Experience with physical installation of DB2 environments on AIX
Experience with performance tuning of DB2 databases on Instance
Experience with data modelling tool
Experience of writing and maintaining Unix scripts
Experience with SQL server
